Most of these are so minimal , we all have internet these days and the average price for gamepass is like 11$ a month. I think graphicly things are fairly overrated , if you have a nice TV that has 4K pixel density it obviously is gonna look smudged since it's just a badly stretched upscaled image. As advertised this thing is a 1440P machine that means monitors or TV's up to 1440P are supported for the best graphical quality resolution and fidelity wise. for a 200$ potato box it sure sits on the the average 750$ PC performance off a current year build.

Yes, this is also the reason why handheld and mobile gaming is so huge in countries with high employee working hours. Mobile gaming Is huge in countries like China, India, South Korea, Japan. PS Vita though it failed in western countries, it was huge in Japan. I have a PS4 Pro but gaming on a gaming laptop is much more convenient than playing on a console. Let's say I am working and decide to take a break for 30 min, I can just load up a game on my gaming laptop, play for 30 min and then get back to working...

Thanks for the video. I am a Metroid Zero Mission speedrunner, which has made me hate any dpad that doesn’t feel like the GBA SP. I tried playing it on NSO as it was recently put on the service and it made me realize how much I hate the pro controller d pad.

In my recent years of gaming, I did have a PC with steam and emulators, then I got WiiU and played solely on there, until I got PS4 and converted over there. I started buying a lot of physical games, got PS Plus and games were just coming. Then, I got also PS Vita with CFM, so I could play a lot of games for free and play also some emulators and PSP games from nostalgia. But I got Vita initially for Trails in the Sky trilogy. After that I got Switch lite and my gaming got really messy. After that, I got also PS3 to be able to play some exclusives and it started to go over my head. I had to seek a change. I didnt play my PS4 too much anymore, so I decided to sell it with all the games. And this marked the start of my more minimal approach. I lended my WiiU to my parents for some Mario games and instead of PS4, I went full opposite for Xbox Series S. After that, I got Switch OLED, and these two consoles are now all my gaming needs... I guess. I also got rid off my old PC and went with laptop only. I dont use it for gaming, so its only for internet and writing. My PS3 is disconnected, just waiting in the drawer, alongside with Vita and Switch lite (which Im gonna sell, probably). Also, with Series S, Im almost all digital, beside some PS3 and Switch physical games. If there is gonna be Switch 2 digital only, Im probably gonna get no cartridge version instead, because digital, is more minimal.

I sold my PS5 last week for a Steam Deck. Great minds think alike 😂 I play PC, PS2, Gamecube, and PSX on Steam Deck, retro games up to GBA on the Analogue Pocket, PSP/Vita games on the Vita and DS 3DS on a New 3DS XL. I was really wanting to buy the AYN Odin Mini 2 to bring the count down a bit since it plays everything up to Switch in the form factor of a PS Vita. I still don't known how I feel about doing that since I love playing on original hardware too. Somehow I feel like I have to choose 😂

I got the RG35XX SP recently and have been addicted to it along with my PS3 and Switch is all I been playing. I sold my ps5 and psvr2 and have a medium spec PC on the side rarely play it anymore. The industry is about greed and not fun now also im sick of subscriptions and updates every time i turn on a modern gaming system. I want the elegance of turning on a game when i feel like it and instantly being able to get my fix. Theres soul missing from todays gaming industry and it resonates in the games.

pc (3080), steam deck, ps5, switch. My order of usage. Gotta love the oh so many free games PlayStation has offered that I can play with visitors in my living room. XDefiant, Helldivers 2, and Horizon 5 anywhere anytime is so satisfying.

You dont need to unplug your hdmi. Just go into ur ps5 settings and disable hdmi one touch play.

Best thing about about ps5 is the classic exclusives that are not on pc (yet) like shadow of the collusses, god of war 3, jack and dexter collection etc. Also god of war Ascension lobbies still have some players. Other than that steam deck has better value if you play indies

For me, the way that all joycons. Connect to the side of the switch are a problem and create a failure point. Where your joycon locks over time will get weak, and then you have to become a surgeon to do all these modifications. I received the nitrodeck pro plus and it's awesome. Yes, the button mapping is different, but having the joysticks at the top of the controller and then using the quick inputs on the back of the controller. Without having to worry about my hands, forcing my joycons out of the side of my switch every time I play, no matter what type of controller i'm using. And i'm a guy with big hands to begin with. 😂 So having the switch sit in the controller Versus the other way around is a win win for me. I'm already planning on getting the regular version for my children who also like my Nitro Deck +. Also the + replaces the switch dock via hdmi - to usbC.

Hey Julien, Gaming is all about having FUN! If certain genres aren't enjoyable for you, why feel pressured to play them? Is FOMO really driving you to play games like Elden Ring? Is it the influence of social media or the gaming community making you feel obligated to play every new release just because you identify as a gamer? I've realized there's simply too many games for any one person to play in a lifetime. When faced with so many options, I often find myself paralyzed by choice. This has significantly impacted my gaming decisions, leading to a kind of decision paralysis. Throughout 2024, I've been striving to find a balance that works for me. I sold my PS5 after finishing Rebirth and am now firmly in the PC/Steam Deck + Nintendo camp. I can't give up on Nintendo, having grown up with their games and loving their genres and IPs. My PC serves as a creative outlet for content creation and my home studio setup, as I play guitar. The Steam Deck is my go-to for non-Nintendo games, like Sekiro, because I do enjoy FromSoftware titles. ;D Discovering your channel has been fantastic. It's comforting to see someone else experiencing similar struggles, overthinking, and banter. While I'm not Christian or a father, I'm a gamer just like you. Once I stopped trying to keep up with the industry and the internet, I began enjoying my games again. It seems like you're very close to finding that balance we all need to enjoy our hobbies fully. Every time I get a new console I mod it to stay cold you gotta apply this epoxy over everything that has a connection to the motherboard and add some thermoelectric cooler pads in hotspots to keep it cold and with the epoxy coving the connections there's little to no damage from the frost that then builds up but they rarely ever caused a problem where it shorted out unless I didn't cover some of the more sensitive connections

This might be your best video yet. I would encourage you to really lean into a faith based gaming channel. We definitely need more of those. I've been going on a personal journey as well with gaming. Been having a lot of introspective conversations with myself on how, why, and what games I want to play. I think falling into fomo really messes with people. I'll use Elden Ring for example. I played it on PS5. I got it day one. I love From Soft. I've since given away my PS5 and added ER to my Steam wishlist thinking I will get it during a sale. As I went through my wishlist on Steam, I came to the realization that I did not want to play ER again. That I was happy with playing Dark Souls 1-3 and Sekiro if I wanted a From Soft game. I'm really starting to full understand the games I want to play. Fomo be damned.

It is a bit overwhelming, and I think it only is because of how much I love gaming. I currently have 5-6 “systems” hooked up or out in my room (handhelds) and it does really feel like I just don’t have the time to enjoy them all. I VERY much want to enjoy them all, but I can spend *all* my free time and still not get to everything. Then at that point it feels unhealthy too, as it’s taking up too much time. I am absolutely obsessed with Elden Ring right now but it isn’t necessarily for everyone. It takes some effort to really get over the hump (whichever hump you end up getting stuck on, a boss, area, etc.) and if you understand the game enough to get past that and don’t like it- it isn’t for you and that is fine.

If nintendo put all the metroid games (natively) on switch its pretty much all I would ever need alongside my laptop for 3rd party games. I like how chill and relaxed your channel is and your discussions about gaming.
